Hemophilia disease

Hemophilia is inherited bleeding disorder where blood does not clot properly .

Result of hemophilia:
  • Damages other organs
  • death can occur if bleeding can't be stopped
  • Bleeding in the head can lead to brain damage
  • Swelling can lead to damage or swelling in the muscle
Health tips
  1. Annual checkup at a hemophilia treatment center
  2. Get vaccinated
  3. get tested regularly
Hemophilia has two types Hemophilia A(Classic hemophilia) and Hemophilia B (Christmas Disease). Classic Hemophilia is caused is by a lack or decrease of clotting factor while Christmas Disease is caused by a lack or decrease of clotting factor .
Treatment is to replace the missing blood clotting factor.(HTC )Health Treatment Center provides care to address issues related to the disorder was well education.

About 10-15 % of people w/ hemophilia develop inhibitor.
